HS Soccer: Berkner’s Hat Trick Helps HHCA Breeze Through First Round

Hilton Head Christian Academy’s boys rolled to an easy 6-0 win over First Baptist in the opening round of the SCISA Class 2A playoffs Tuesday.

Evan Berkner scored two of his three goals in the first eight minutes to stake the Eagles to an early lead, and they controlled the match from there. Carson Webster, Will Ruhlin, and Josue Hurtado added goals for HHCA.

Lukas O’Grady recorded his 10th shutout of the season in goal.

The Eagles will host Spartanburg Day for a semifinal matchup at 5 p.m. Thursday.
