Bluffton kept its season alive with a 6-2 home win over Lake City on Saturday in the Class 3A District 5 tournament.
Hunter Eldridge was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Noah Simonsen was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs to lead the Bobcats at the plate.
Simonsen struck out four and allowed one hit over three scoreless innings before being lifted to keep him available to pitch Monday. Sean Sutay allowed two runs over 2 1/3 innings in relief, and Tyler Livingston recorded the last five outs.
Bluffton (18-7) will head back to Strom Thurmond on Monday needing to win twice to advance to the Lower State tournament. The Rebels beat the Bobcats 4-0 on Friday.
