HS Soccer: BA Boys Hold Off JPII To Move To 12-0

Beaufort Academy’s boys continued their perfect season with a 3-1 win over region rival John Paul II on Friday.

The Eagles led 1-0 at halftime on an own-goal created via Ben Trask’s in-swinging corner kick. Sebastian Laverde converted an assist from Noah Brock to tie it at 1, but Trask facilitated two more goals by assisting on scores from Edward McCormick and Charlie Weeden.

BA (12-0, 7-0) faces its toughest test yet with a trip to Hilton Head Christian Academy at 4:45 p.m. Monday. JPII (6-7-1, 4-3) plays a non-region game at Pinewood Prep on Monday.
