Conner Golden scored two goals and assisted on another to help May River’s boys to a 4-2 win at Hilton Head High on Wednesday.
Golden assisted on Anthony Acker’s goal in the second minute and converted an assist from Acker in the 19th minute to give the Sharks an early 2-0 lead. Joel Fleek scored his 21st goal of the season off a Jackson Stove assist in the 23rd minute to make it 3-0 at halftime.
Nick Kabiri converted a penalty kick in the 51st minute and Giovanny Lopez scored in the 65th minute to pull the Seahawks with 3-2, but Golden’s second goal of the night off a Nahuel Mieres assist in the 67th minute sealed the win for May River.
Tony Rodriguez had three saves in the win, as the Sharks held Hilton Head High to five shots on goal. Andrew Rico had 10 saves for the Seahawks.
The Sharks (19-2) travel to Oceanside Collegiate at 7 p.m. Friday for their regular-season finale. The Seahawks (8-7) host Bluffton at 7 p.m. Friday.
