Ethan Graham threw a three-hitter to lead Beaufort High to a 3-1 win over Myrtle Beach in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs Tuesday.
The Seahawks took a 1-0 lead with an unearned run in the third inning, but Graham allowed only one baserunner the rest of the way.
Jeffrey Smyth was 2-for-2 with a double and scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fourth to tie it at 1. Wade Olivarri’s RBI single in the fifth gave the Eagles the lead, and Graham added a run-scoring groundout later in the inning.
The Eagles travel to fifth-ranked Lugoff-Elgin on Thursday in the second round of the double-elimination District VI tournament.
