HS Golf: Spratling, BA On Top After First Round Of State Tourney

Beaufort Academy sits atop the leaderboard after the first round of the SCISA Class 1A State Golf Tournament on Monday.

The Eagles posted a team score of 337 during the opening round at the Hackler Course in Conway, giving them a comfortable 29-shot cushion over second-place Patrick Henry going into Tuesday’s final round.

BA’s Jaxon Spratling (76) and Joe Stowe (77) occupy the top two spots in the individual standings, while teammate Cal Harvey (83) is tied for eighth. Trey Dean (101) and Jack Carter Worrell (103) rounded out the lineup for the Eagles.
