HS Baseball: JPII Tops HHP In Extra Innings

Ray Johnson drove in the winning run in the ninth inning to lift John Paul II baseball to a 9-8 win over Hilton Head Prep on Saturday.

The Dolphins scored five runs in the seventh to tie it and force extra innings before Johnson’s second RBI of the day plated Jack Jolley to give the Golden Warriors a walk-off win. Josh Horton drove in three runs for JPII.

Thomas Kender was credited with the win in relief of Brad Tigges.

JPII (6-6, 3-3) travels to Hilton Head Christian Academy at 6 p.m. Monday. The Dolphins (0-4, 0-3) travel to Colleton Prep at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
