HS Lax: Seahawk Girls Dominate May River

Hilton Head High girls’ lacrosse easily handled county rival May River on Wednesday, winning 14-2 at home.

The Seahawks’ coaching staff named Victoria Glover their player of the game after she scooped seven ground balls to help Hilton Head dominate possession.

Carley Wilson, Anne Evans, and Lara Martel each scored three goals, and Lily Joy Tothero and Katie Bennett scored two apiece for the Seahawks, while Lauren Reed added a goal.

Seahawks goalie Sophie Spahr had three saves on the night.

Madison Shropshire and Yael Echeverria scored goals for the Sharks.

The Seahawks (7-1) will travel to Savannah Christian Prep at 6:15 p.m. Friday. The Sharks (3-5) travel to Oceanside Collegiate at 7 p.m. Friday.
