Zack Bond threw eight scoreless innings and scored the winning run in the eighth inning to give Thomas Heyward baseball a 1-0 win over John Paul II on Thursday.
Bond outdueled JPII’s Ray Johnson and scored the game-winner on Bryce Tillotson’s single, giving the Rebels their second 1-0 win in extra innings over the Golden Warriors this season.
THA (3-6, 1-2) plays at Trinity-Byrnes at 6:30 p.m. Monday. JPII hosts Hilton Head Prep at 2 p.m. Saturday.
