Hilton Head High girls’ soccer handed Region 8-4A rival Beaufort High it’s first loss, winning 7-2 on Wednesday.
Hannah Stanhope scored four goals and assisted on two more to lead the Seahawks in the dominant effort. Abbie Lainhart added a goal and an assist, and Carson Schoeppe and Val Palacio each scored a goal for Hilton Head. Jamie Lavine was called upon to make four saves for the Seahawks.
Josephine Rohrer and Brigid Murphy scored goals for the Eagles with assists from Olivia Crisologo and Caroline Louw.
Hilton Head (9-1, 5-0) plays a region match at Berkeley at 7 p.m. Friday. Beaufort (7-1, 3-1) hosts Stall at 6 p.m. Friday.
