HS Baseball: Errors Send HHCA To First Loss

Hilton Head Christian Academy baseball suffered its first loss of the season Monday, losing 12-8 to Coastal Homeschool.

The Eagles put up four runs in the first inning, but the Hurricanes answered with two in the second and two in the third to pull even and busted out for four in the fifth to take the lead for good.

J.D. Monts was 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs, and John Blackshire and Reese Malon each had a hit and two RBIs for the Eagles.

HHCA made nine errors, leading to seven unearned runs.

The Eagles (8-1) are scheduled to host Colleton Prep at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
