May River boys’ lacrosse ran its winning streak to five games with a 12-1 win over Beaufort High on Wednesday.
Jon Boan had three goals and four assists and Hudson Kramer scored four goals to lead the attack. Luke Boan added two goals and two assists, CJ Wajszczuk and Braydon Sokolowski each had a goal and an assist, and Rob Gadomski added one goal.
Despite the dominant performance, May River coach Tom Dyer knows the Sharks (6-2) will have to be sharper next week with road games at James Island at 6 p.m. Monday and Evans (Ga.) at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
“We had too many penalties, which will hurt us going forward against better teams,” Dyer said. “We need to regroup and keep working on basic skills to avoid earning those penalties. Next week will be a test to see if we are really as good as our record shows.”
The Eagles (1-6) host Bluffton at 6 p.m. on March 23.
