Beaufort High softball lost 7-2 to Region 8-4A rival Colleton County on Friday.
Colleton County scored four runs in the fourth inning to break it open, and the Eagles couldn’t close the gap.
Lillian Sumner, Lillian Bearden, Bricen Riley, and Kidron Martin each had two hits for Beaufort.
Emily Cook took the loss, allowed 12 hits and seven runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking one.
The Eagles (1-2, 1-1) travel to Berkeley for a region game at 7 p.m.
