HS Lax: Seahawk Girls Balanced In Win At Bluffton

Hilton Head High’s girls’ lacrosse team improved to 2-0 with a 13-6 win at Bluffton on Saturday.

Eight different players scored goals for the Seahawks for the second straight game, with Lara Martel (three goals, one assist) and Lauren Reed (three goals) leading the charge. Katie Bennett scored two goals, Lexie Locker and Lily Joy Tothero each had a goal and an assist, and Ashtin Soule, Madison Bronsky, and Emma Grace Walters each scored a goal. Anne Evans added an assist for the Seahawks.

Bennett won four draw controls and scooped two ground balls, and Sophie Spahr made three saves in goal for Hilton Head.

The Seahawks (2-0) host Beaufort High at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Bobcats (1-1) play at Richmond Hill at 6:30 p.m. on March 7.
