HSBB: Short-handed Seahawk Boys Fall To #1 Wilson

A short-handed Hilton Head High boys team was no match for the top-ranked team in Class 3A, as the Seahawks lost 81-55 at Wilson in the first round of the playoffs Wednesday.

The Seahawks, who dressed only seven players because of injury and illness, were down 10-0 early before playing the Tigers tough for the remainder of the first half. Alex Caldwell’s 3-pointer at the buzzer put Wilson up 41-26 at the break.

Hilton Head High’s Chris Washington made five 3-pointers en route to a game-high 23 points, while Trevor Wright added 17 and Davis Molloy scored 11. Allen Williamson scored 21 points, Alex Caldwell added 16, and Darius Rhodes had 14 for Wilson.

The Seahawks finish the season with a 10-13 record.
