Hilton Head Christian Academy’s boys overcame a seven-point deficit in the fourth quarter to claim a 46-44 win over visiting John Paul II on Tuesday.
The Eagles led 19-17 at halftime but needed a late rally to claim their season-high third straight win.
“A great team effort from a young group of kids tonight,” HHCA coach Mac Tamminen said.
Floyd Hargrove collected 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists, and Lukas O’Grady added 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead HHCA.
Amere Cherry scored 17 points and Rashad Battiste added 11 to lead the Golden Warriors.
JPII (11-12, 7-4) returns to action Wednesday at Bethesda Academy, while HHCA (6-14, 5-6) hosts region leader Hilton Head Prep on Friday.
