Hilton Head Christian Academy’s girls pulled away in the second half for a 51-29 win at Beaufort Academy in region play Tuesday.
The score was tied at 17 at halftime after HHCA struggled at the foul line in the first half, but the visiting Eagles turned up the defensive intensity after halftime and held BA to five field goals after the break.
Jossie Frazier scored 19 points, Brielle McCarthy added 11, and Jasmine Campbell had nine to lead HHCA. Karolina Struharova scored 10 points and Emily Ann Hiers added eight for BA.
HHCA (8-1, 1-0) continues region play Thursday at Colleton Prep. BA (5-4, 1-1) hosts Thomas Heyward for a region contest Friday.
