Bluffton’s girls salvaged their final game in the Battle on the Island on Saturday in Fleming Island, Fla., beating Thomas County Central (Ga.) 31-28 in overtime.
The Bobcats outscored the Yellowjackets 13-3 in the fourth quarter to force overtime, playing dominant defense and getting a clutch 3-pointer from Judaah Mitchell to help pull even.
Deborah Bent and Tatyana Aiken each scored eight points to lead Bluffton, while Kennedy Barber scored four of her six points in overtime.
The Bobcats (6-5) play in the Jarvis Williams Tournament in Palatka, Fla., beginning Wednesday.
