HSBB: Short-handed Creek Girls Get Past Beaufort High

The Battery Creek girls basketball team remained undefeated with a 40-22 win over crosstown rival Beaufort High on Friday.

The Dolphins were without leading scorer Ta’Quasia Lampkin due to injury, but Kevea Sanders stepped up with 17 points. Coresha Rutledge added eight points, and Trinity Coney contributed six points and eight rebounds for Battery Creek.

Darien Watkins scored 10 points to lead Beaufort High.

The Dolphins (5-0) host Whale Branch on Saturday. The Eagles (4-3) travel to May River on Tuesday.
