Hilton Head Island High School finished fifth and Beaufort High School was eighth at the SCHSL Class 4A Lower State girls golf qualifier on Tuesday, sending both teams to next week’s state championship.
The Seahawks posted a team score of 381 and the Eagles shot 441 on the Hackler Course at Coastal Carolina University, claiming two of the eight team qualifying spots for next week’s state championship at Port Royal Plantation’s Barony Course.
St. James ran away with the team title with a score of 306, 51 shots ahead of runner-up Hartsville.
