The May River High School girls won two relay titles and finished second at the SCHSL Class 3A State Swimming Championships on Saturday in Columbia.
Kaitlyn Pangilinan, Alora Orr, Allie Ingram, and Alondra Janicek won the 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay, and Ingram won the 100 fly and placed second in the 100 back to lead the Sharks to their runner-up finish.
Pangilinan finished second in 500 free and fourth in the 200 free, Janicek was fourth in the 100 free and fifth in the 50 free, and Orr was fifth in the 50 free.
Bluffton High School’s girls finished 10th, including a third-place finish in the 100 breast by Letia Reed.
On the boys side, Bluffton was seventh and May River was eighth.
Bluffton’s Sam Schwabauer placed second in the 100 breast and third in 50 free, and May River’s Matheo Velasquez was third in the 100 back and fourth in the 200 IM.
