The May River High School volleyball team swept John Paul II on Wednesday, winning 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 27-25).
Addison Black led the Sharks with 13 kills and Bridget Connolly added six, while Kylie Puplava had 12 digs and Abby Puplava contributed three aces.
Marissa Majorkiewicz had five kills and 10 digs, and Darby O’Donnell collected five kills, 16 assists, and 12 digs for the Golden Warriors. Mary Foster Galliard added a team-high 22 digs for JP2.
May River plays a region tri-match against Bluffton and Wade Hampton on Monday, while JP2 hosts Hilton Head Prep on Thursday for its Dig Pink match to benefit breast cancer research.
