The Hilton Head Christian Academy volleyball team remained undefeated in region play with a sweep of Thomas Heyward Academy on Wednesday.
The Eagles won 3-0 (25-21, 25-8, 25-15) despite playing without setter Brielle McCarthy, who was sidelined by a stomach bug. Eighth-grader Abby Jacobs stepped up in McCarthy’s absence and collected 21 assists, four aces, and seven digs to lead HHCA.
Lauryn Qualls had eight kills, 10 digs, and three aces, and Sydney DeSimone racked up seven kills, six aces, 12 digs, and two blocks for the Eagles.
Jana Christian led Thomas Heyward with three kills and six digs, and Brooklyn Guardino added nine digs and two aces.
The teams meet again Thursday at HHCA.
