Bluffton finished fifth and May River was ninth among 15 teams at the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association’s High School Invitational at Sanctuary Golf Club on Cat Island over the weekend.
Each team played four players with the low three scores counting in each round. The Bobcats finished with a team total of 481 as Sophia Burnett (75-74) paced the team, tying for seventh overall. The Sharks finished at 510.
Lexington shot 440 as a team to win the title by 14 shots with Gracyn Burgess shooting 4-under-par 140 over 36 holes to win the individual crown by three shots over Smith Knaffle of St. James.
