Bluffton race car driver Gus Dean turned in another strong performance Saturday night, finishing fifth at the Eddie Gilstrap Motors Fall Classic 200 at Salem (Ind.) Speedway.
Dean started ninth and remained in the top 10 throughout the race before surging into the top five late. He was fourth with 15 laps to go before sliding to fifth for his second straight top-five finish.
Dean moved back into third place in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards points standings with three races left in the season. Next up is the Scott 150 on Thursday at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill.
