The Beaufort Eagles are going back to state.
Kacy Fields rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns and Colton Phares added 161 yards and a TD on the ground as Beaufort’s powerful ground game and dominant defense fueled a 30-21 road win in the SCHSL Class 3A Lower State championship game, ending perennial power Dillon’s season with its first loss.

The Eagles overcame five turnovers, including three in the first half, to get back to the state title game after falling 41-7 to South Pointe in last year’s Class 4A championship.
