Freshman Brady Saba led the scoring for the Seahawks with four goals, while Seth Woods added a hat trick and an assist, and Bill Fielding dished out four assists to go with a goal of his won. Jackson Olander had the final tally for HHIHS.
Anders Kennedy scooped five groundballs and Amare Ford had four to lead a strong defensive effort for the Seahawks, and Gavin Dellinger made an incredible 18 saves to keep HHIHS in it and preserve the one-goal margin in overtime.
Hilton Head (1-0) was back in action Monday against Region 7-4A power Lucy Beckham.
