Abby Peduzzi scored 10 points, Devon Yarde added seven, and Skylar Smith and Kenzie Buchter each contributed six for the Eagles, who did a terrific job at the defensive end against an athletic and talented Bulldogs team.

HHCA led the Georgia Class 3A Bulldogs 17-9 at halftime and pushed it out to double digits in the third quarter. The Eagles were still up eight with three minutes left, but Beach ramped up the defensive pressure and chipped away, pulling within two with 30 seconds left before HHCA held on.

“The defensive pressure on their guards by Devon Yarde, Jaida Grayson and Skylar Smith combined with Buchter and Peduzzi’s inside presence neutralized the interior play of some very tall and athletic post players from Beach,” HHCA coach Kenny Conroy said.

HHCA (22-2, 10-0) wraps up the regular season at home against Holy Trinity on Monday.
