John Paul II girls basketball rebounded from a tough loss two days earlier to roll past visiting Colleton Prep 70-25 on Wednesday to move into third place in the SCISA Region 4 standings.

Maddie Heathcott had another big game for the Golden Warriors with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals, leading a balanced effort in which eight players scored at least four points.
Gracie Henderson splashed four 3-pointers en route to a 14-point night for JPII, and Emily O’Sullivan collected six points and six rebounds. Alexa Eaddy, Paige Weniger, and Cayce Graves also scored six points each.
“We had a nice night offensively,” JPII coach Karen Floyd said. “This was a total team effort with all the girls scoring and playing quality minutes.”
JPII (6-6, 4-2) hosts Holy Trinity on Friday. CPA (2-12, 2-5) plays at Beaufort Academy on Friday.
