Hilton Head Prep girls basketball heated up after halftime to pull away for a 57-27 home win over St. Vincent’s Academy in a non-region matchup Thursday.
It was a tight game in the first half, as the Dolphins led by two after a quarter and pushed the margin to 22-14 at halftime. HHP got hot in the third quarter to open it up, outsourcing SVA 20-7 in the period to turn it into a rout.

“Tonight was a very good team win,” HHP coach Phillip Hartman said. “Everyone contributed and the seniors played like seniors. Team intensity was excellent and so was our backcourt.”
Katie Campbell led the Dolphins with 16 points, four assists, and five steals, while sister Courtney Campbell added 13 points to go with five assists. Haylee Hopman and Abi Mendoza contributed seven points each, while Ella Clark had four points and nine rebounds and Emma Moore added four points and eight boards.
HHP (10-5, 2-2) plays another non-region game against visiting Savannah Country Day at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
