Hilton Head Prep boys basketball showcased its strong depth in a dominant home victory Wednesday, blowing past Colleton Prep 67-4.
The Dolphins got contributions from across the lineup, as seven players put up eight or more points while 10 players found the score sheet. They fueled their offense through their stellar transition play, deflecting passes and storming up the court for quick buckets.
Jerry Faulkner’s squad displayed its terrific ball movement on offense to complement a lockdown defensive showing, racing out to a 25-0 first-quarter advantage and ballooning the lead to 48-4 at halftime before holding the War Hawks off the board the rest of the way.
Andrew Helms and Ryan Mikell led the balanced effort, scoring nine points apiece, while JJ Hayes, Sean Cusano, Jason Britschge, and Christian Jablonski tallied eight each. Britschge also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, and Cusano pulled down six.
Hilton Head Prep (12-2, 4-0) travels to John Paul II on Friday. Colleton Prep (0-13, 0-5) visits Holy Trinity on Friday.
