Ridgeland-Hardeeville boys basketball couldn’t keep pace with an undefeated Scott’s Branch team on Wednesday, falling 62-33 on the road in a non-region contest.
The Jaguars stayed in the game early, but the Eagles edged out to a 16-point halftime lead and coasted to the finish behind a trio of double-digit scorers.
Randy Gibson had a monster game for Scott’s Branch (9-0) with 16 points, six assists, and 10 steals, while Ernie Calloway added 16 points and five steals, and Montrez Sinkler scored 11.
Eric Cuyler had nine points to lead the Jags, with Kalen Riddles adding eight and Joe Mitchell scoring seven.
RHHS (1-5) hosts Timberland to open Region 6-2A play Friday.
