Hilton Head High wrestling earned another dual win on the road Friday night, beating Class 5A Fort Dorchester 48-27.
The Seahawks are still without a handful of their top wrestlers, but they continue to showcase their depth against quality competition, and one of their veterans got them off to a quick start against the Patriots.

Senior Drew Vigh started the night with a pin at 132 pounds, starting a string of four straight falls for HHIHS as Sebastian Agnew, Darnell Brawner, and KJ Holland followed suit to give the Seahawks a quick 24-0 advantage. Devin Espinoza, Chris Crosby, and Mack Ford added pins, and Alex Ruckno won by forfeit to help the Seahawks seal the victory.
Fort Dorchester was long a powerhouse in Class 5A, and although the Patriots are down this season, the win was a special one for HHIHS coach Patrick Boulware.
“I always looked up to the Fort D program even back when I wrestled (at Bluffton),” Boulware said. “Andrew Young has done exceptional things there producing tough wrestlers. He and I are great friends on and off the mat, and that was just a very respected win in my book to finally say we did it.”
The Seahawks (5-1) are back in action Dec. 29-30 at the May River Shark Invitational.
