Hilton Head Christian Academy boys basketball gave new coach Jason Grunkemeyer his first win with the Eagles on Tuesday, routing the Coastal Hurricanes homeschool team 59-30 on the road.


Transfer Qayden Turner led the Eagles’ balanced effort with 12 points, while Riley Shinn added 11 points, and Wells Sharp had 10. Isaiah Anderson and Brady Bagenstose each added nine points for HHCA.
The Eagles (1-2) play in the Colleton Prep Holiday Tournament beginning Dec. 28.
