HSBBB: Cougars foiled by Wolverines for second time

Colleton County boys basketball suffered its second loss of the season Friday at the same hands as the first, falling 68-51 at Woodland.

The Cougars dug an early hole but settled in and kept the Wolverines at arm’s length in the first half, trailing 25-19 at the break, but Woodland erupted for 26 points in the third quarter to open a 15-point advantage and coasted from there.

Deshaun Blocker scored 13 points, Mykeem Gant added 12, and Jahmari Washington had eight for the Cougars.

CCHS (3-2) hosted Battery Creek on Saturday. Check LowcoSports.com later for a full recap.
