HSBBB: Coastal closes out comeback win over Mighty Lions

Holy Trinity boys basketball was in command for most of the night, but the Mighty Lions couldn’t close it out at home Friday, falling 46-41 to the Coastal Hurricanes homeschool program in the first round of the BA Classic.

Holy Trinity led 25-19 at halftime before the Hurricanes trimmed the margin to two points with a strong third quarter and surged ahead with a 17-point outburst in the fourth.

Levi Dyer had an efficient night for Holy Trinity with 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting along with seven rebounds, three blocks, and two steals. Caleb Drew added eight points, Banks Bozard had seven, and Michael Andrade collected six points, six boards, and two assists for the Mighty Lions.

Tylor Mascunana scored nine points, and Jace Poppell and Austin Sloop each added eight for Coastal.

HTCCS (3-3) faces Charleston Collegiate in the consolation game at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
