Colleton County girls basketball ran its winning streak to four games with a 41-32 win at Battery Creek on Saturday.
Bethany Monroe scored 15 points and snagged five steals, Shandi Brown added 13 points and five steals of her own, and Heaven Green collected eight points and eight rebounds to lead the Cougars, who have won four straight following an 0-2 start.

Kiara Wilson posted 10 points along with eight rebounds and five steals while Genesis Wilson put up eight points, but the Dolphins shot only 20 percent from the field.
Both teams struggled on the offensive side of the ball in the first quarter as both teams shot under 15% from the field, ending the quarter with the Cougars leading 5-4. The offense picked up in the second quarter, as Green and Monroe each put up six points for the Cougars, but Wilson found her range, knocking down two triples and twp jumpers for the Dolphins, who went into the half up 21-20.
Colleton pressed much of the second half, effectively cutting off Creek’s ability to run up the wing and get the ball to the Shaw sisters down low. Monroe put up nine points in the second half for the Cougars while Creek could manage only 11 points in the second half.
Colleton (4-2) hosts Academic Magnet on Wednesday. Battery Creek (1-4) hosts Bluffton on Tuesday.
