Beaufort Academy boys basketball finished off a season sweep of crosstown foe Bridges Prep on Tuesday, winning 62-47 on the road behind a double-double from freshman Amarion Wilson.
Wilson scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Eagles, who dominated in the paint and on the boards.

With Zeke Gonzalez and Sully Gay in early foul trouble, the Eagles put together a second-quarter spurt led by Wilson, Timmy Horgan, and Braydon Dineen, outscoring the Bucs 20-10 in the quarter to open up a 36-22 halftime lead before cruising to a double-digit win.
Bridges did an excellent job limiting Gay to seven points and forcing him into early foul trouble, but he pulled down eight rebounds. Horgan also scored seven points, and Gavin Midyette added seven points and four boards.
Although he managed only four points, Dineen gave the Eagles a big boost with five rebounds, two assists, and three steals while turning it over just once at point guard.
“He doesn’t show up in the stat sheet all the time, but Braydon Dineen is a dog,” BA coach Nick Field said. “He is a complete menace to opposing offenses.”
BA (4-2) travels to Bluffton on Thursday. Bridges (0-2) travels to Savannah Classical Academy on Wednesday.
