HSFB: 14 Lowco stars to play in SCISA All-Star Game

A total of 14 Lowco area football stars from six rival squads will team up in the SCISA North-South All-Star Game on Friday at Heathwood Hall in Columbia. 

A six pack of stars from four-time SCISA 1A champion Thomas Heyward highlight the roster with standout linebacker Brandon Howard leading the charge. He is joined by offensive linemen Symir Mitchell and Max Hickey, receiver and defensive back Cody Parker, defensive back and kick returner James Townsend, and versatile athlete Jordan Mikell.

A pair of two-way standouts from two-time SCISA 2A champion Hilton Head Christian Academy are also part of the roster in Joseph “Speedy” Robinson and Jackson “Bulldog” Lanier. Hilton Head Prep and John Paul II each had a pair of selections, with kicker Trevor Weldon and fullback and linebacker Jake Rodney-Brown representing the Dolphins and receiver and defensive back Mark Knight and linebacker Michael Carbone earning a spot from JPII.

Beaufort Academy running back and linebacker Cody Dalrymple and Colleton Prep quarterback and defensive back Drew Murdaugh are also part of the South squad.

Lowco stars represent more than a third of the 36-player South roster, which will be coached by John Paul II’s Chris Myers. Thomas Heyward defensive coordinator Michael Heath and assistant Justin Stuckey are on the South coaching staff along with JPII assistants Luke Guess and Josh Craven. 

The game kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday at Heathwood Hall.
