Holy Trinity boys basketball pulled within four points entering the fourth quarter but came up short in a 50-39 home loss to Lowcountry Leadership in its season opener Monday.
Houston Wilson scored 16 points and blocked two shots, and Levi Dyer collected a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds and added two blocks.
The Mighty Lions were within four at the end of the first quarter, but the NaviGators extended the margin to 30-19 at halftime. Holy Trinity clawed within 36-32 at the end of the third, but Lowcountry Leadership pulled away down the stretch.
The Mighty Lions (1-0) host Step of Faith on Tuesday.
