Hilton Head High volleyball completed its perfect run through Region 7-4A on Thursday, sweeping May River on the road.
The Seahawks ran away in the first set to a 25-17 victory before taking a pair of tight 25-21 and 25-22 sets to close out the flawless region slate.

It was a balanced effort from a dominant Seahawk group, as four different players recorded eight or more kills. Leah Jackson led the way with nine, while Ava Edri, Makenna Mason, and Ady O’Grady earned eight each. Mason was spectacular in all phases, adding on 11 digs to go along with two blocks and 27 assists. O’Grady matched Mason’s 11 digs, while Abby Jacobs tallied five kills alongside a pair of blocks and service aces.
The Seahawks were nearly perfect during region play as well, dropping just one set over the entire 12 matches.
Hilton Head (27-4-1,12-0) has earned a first-round bye in the SCHSL playoffs and will begin its title defense on October 26.
May River (16-9, 5-5) will likely play at South Aiken in the opening round Thursday as the region’s No.4 seed.
