Beaufort Academy volleyball strengthened its resume for a strong seed in the SCISA 2A state tournament with big region win at Hilton Head Prep on Wednesday.
The Eagles outlasted the Dolphins for a hard-fought 3-2 road win, rallying after dropping the first two sets for a huge victory. The Dolphins came out strong at home, winning the first two sets 25-20 and 25-21 before BA turned the tide. The Eagles notched 25-18 and 25-15 wins to force a fifth set and claimed the deciding frame 15-10.

Maddie Nelson had 10 kills and seven blocks and Grace Simmons added five kills and six blocks in an outstanding performance in the middle, and Margaret Hiers (10 kills, 14 assists, 20 digs) and Claire Tumlin (8 kills, 17 assists, 19 digs) continued their strong all-around play for BA. Mary Hanna Hiers racked up 32 digs, and Olivia Dinkins added three aces for the Eagles.
BA (11-4, 8-2) was back in action Thursday at Thomas Heyward. HHP (19-7-3, 6-5) wraps up the regular season at home against THA on Tuesday.
