HSVB: Seahawks answer challenge from Bengals in road test

Hilton Head High volleyball dropped its first set against a region opponent Tuesday, but the Seahawks stayed unbeaten in Region 7-4A play with a 3-1 win at Lucy Beckham. 

Ady O’ Grady was terrific in all phases for the Seahawks, racking up 17 kills, five digs, four aces, and a block. Freshman Leah Jackson delivered a tremendous performance at outside hitter, recording 12 kills and six digs. 

Abby Jacobs tallied 10 kills to go with eight digs and two aces, while defensive specialist Alli Misko shined with a team-leading 13 digs. Olivia Shamlou added 10 digs while impressing from the service line with three aces, and setter Makenna Mason put up 38 assists alongside six digs and a block. 

Hilton Head High (26-4-1, 11-0) looks to close out a perfect region campaign Thursday at May River.
