Hilton Head High girls tennis locked up the No. 2 playoff seed from Region 7-4A and a home playoff match with a 4-2 win over visiting James Island on Wednesday.
The Seahawks won the top four singles courts to lock up the victory in a rematch of Tuesday’s match on James Island, in which Emily Ruckno and Hailey Poplin had to team up for a clinching win at No. 1 doubles.
No deciding doubles match was necessary this time around, as Emily Ruckno, Danielle Silvan, and Alyssa Ruckno all won in straight sets, and Poplin won by injury default.
The Seahawks (12-4, 8-2) wrap up the regular season at Colleton County on Thursday.
