It was more of the same for Thomas Heyward on Friday, as the Rebels’ dominant ground game and punishing defense set the tone in a 32-7 road win over region rival Colleton Prep.
Anthony Fripp rolled up 149 yards and a TD on 12 carries, and Tony O’Banner added 103 yards and a score on 14 attempts to lead THA’s powerful rushing game. Brandon Howard added 42 yards and a TD on just four carries and connected with James Townsend for a 20-yard TD pass, and Tyshon Mansell tossed a TD pass to Cody Parker for the Rebels.

THA’s stingy defense bottled up the War Hawks’ strong rushing attack led by quarterback Drew Murdaugh, who scored Colleton Prep’s lone touchdown.
The Rebels (6-1, 2-0) face their toughest test remaining on the region slate when they host St. John’s Christian next Friday in a matchup of the only undefeated teams in SCISA Region 1-1A play. CPA (2-5, 1-2) travels to Calhoun Academy next week for a non-region matchup.
