Hilton Head High girls tennis locked down the No. 2 spot in Region 7-4A and kept its hopes of a region crown alive with a 6-0 sweep of May River on Tuesday.
The Seahawks were in top form against a solid Sharks squad, winning all seven matches in straight sets.
HHIHS (10-4, 6-1) is back in action at home Wednesday, hosting first-place Lucy Beckham in a key region matchup. The Bengals won a 5-2 decision in the first meeting. May River (4-5, 4-5) travels to John Paul II on Thursday for a non-region match.
