John Paul II volleyball opened its regular season with a sweep of visiting Bridges Prep on Thursday.
The Golden Warriors were in control from the stop, sweeping the Buccaneers 25-11, 25-7, 25-10 with solid play all around. JPII racked up 33 aces, including eight from Sadie Moulton and six each from Emily O’Sullivan and Emma Sauls.
Nine different players combined for 17 kills for the Golden Warriors, with O’Sullivan leaded the way with five.
JPII (1-0) hosts Hilton Head Prep for a region match at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
