Bluffton boys soccer found plenty of opportunities Tuesday, and the Bobcats took advantage in the second half, pulling away for a 3-0 home win over Lucy Beckham in a Region 7-4A matchup.
The Bobcats had a tough time getting in a rhythm and finishing their chances early on, but the relentless attack eventually paid off.
Jon Paul Gonzalez finished off an assist from Edinson Alvarez to open the scoring, and Gonzalez returned the favor with an assist on an Alvarez goal to close it out. Brayan Murillo netted the other goal for the Bobcats, converting an assist from Armando Gimenez.
The Bobcat defense was stout, allowing only four shots against keeper Marvin Rodriguez, who recorded the clean sheet. Bluffton uncorked 24 shots, putting 10 on goal.
The Bobcats (4-3, 2-3) face another region test when they host Beaufort High on Friday.
