May River boys lacrosse finished off a season sweep of crosstown rival Bluffton with a resounding 21-5 victory Monday night in The Tank.
The Sharks continued their domination of fellow Beaufort County teams, finishing 6-0 against intracounty rivals while outscoring them 102-31. Senior Rob Gadomski led the way with a sock trick of six goals, while sophomore Brooks van Esselstyn matched his point total with three goals and three assists.
Three other Sharks tallied their own hat tricks with Hudson Kramer, Andrew Dromsky, and Reece Simonson netting three goals each, while Simonson assisted on two other goals. Mike Gonzales added a goal along with six groundballs, Thomas Raisch scored two goals to accompany two groundballs and two takeaways, and Jacob Bollinger gathered six groundballs and scored a takeaway.
Eli Hall (8-for-12) and Dave Lavery (6-for-10) helped the Sharks dominate at the dot and control possession all night.
Bluffton’s Carlo Pulido had a big night with two goals, an assist, and a game-high 11 groundballs, while teammates Ben Ramsey and Reggie Peralta each added a goal and an assist.
The Sharks (11-3, 7-2) wrap up the regular season Thursday at home against Bishop England.
The Bobcats (2-9, 2-8) wrap up their slate at Calvary Day on Wednesday.
