May River softball finished Thursday what it started Wednesday, completing a 20-4 pounding of Beaufort High to sweep the two-game Region 7-4A series with the Eagles.
The host Sharks plated 13 runs in the first inning and had a commanding lead when play was suspended due to thunderstorms Wednesday night. May River picked up where it left off the next evening, ending the game early via mercy rule.
